Category and Competition
Competition is fierce in the midsize pickup segment, but I think Honda plays its cards well with the Ridgeline. Simplicity is the key to the Japanese pickup's success. While it may offer fewer features than its rivals, it stands out for its remarkable reliability and durability. It's a true Honda product through and through, and that's exactly why people love it.

Design and Technology
I'll admit, I wasn't a fan of the first-generation Ridgeline's design. But it's quite the opposite with the current model. I really like what Honda has done over the years, bringing subtle yet impactful design improvements. The TrailSport version is undoubtedly the icing on the cake, with a more rugged look and exclusive color options
The cabin is perhaps the only aspect of the Ridgeline that draws some criticism. What really gives away the model's age here is the dashboard design. Other than that, the seats are very comfortable, and the driving position is excellent. The infotainment system is also easy to use, with smooth navigation and an intuitive interface.
Performance
The 2025 Honda Ridgeline offers only one powertrain, and it all starts with the proven 3.5-liter V6 engine. This engine alone is a solid reason to consider Honda's pickup—its legendary durability speaks for itself, not to mention its efficiency. It delivers 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. This setup gives the Ridgeline a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. As for fuel economy, Honda claims an average of 12.8 L/100 km (city) and 9.9 L/100 km (highway).
